Edgar Cooper
Edgar E. Cooper, MSGT, USAF (ret.), was promoted to glory October 8, 2017. Born to Flora Smith Cooper and Earnest Lamar Cooper on June 29 1933. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Fidelina Sedillo Cooper and his children, Tim Cooper and wife, Letha, Martin Alderete and wife, Donna, Theresa Alderete Persohn and husband, MAJ, USAF (ret.) Bryan, Gladys Marie Alderete Cancel and husband MSGT,USAF (ret.) Louis Cancel, Lisa Cooper Wallace; brothers, John Cooper and wife, Naomi, Carl Cooper and wife, Martha, Harry Cooper and wife, Carolyn, Willie Cooper and brother-in-law, Pat Sedillo and wife, Anna.
Also surviving are grandchildren, Brandy Holland, Brianna Murry and husband, Chad, Nicolette Cooper, Corey Persohn Jedediah Alderete and wife Danessa, Jacob Alderete and wife, Lyndsi, Jared Alderete and wife, Holly, Janessa Alderete, SSGT, USAF Emilio Cancel and wife, Megan, and A1C USAF Alycia Cancel, along with the joy of many great-grandchildren.
Edgar Cooper served his country 20 years; he then continued service to our country, retiring from Civil Service. His first priority was his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, attending New Life Fellowship in Belen. He departs this world having loved his Lord, his wife, his children, and their families and his beloved United States of America with all his heart.
A viewing will be held on Sunday, October 15, 2017 from 6 PM-8 PM at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W Reinken Ave. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home Monday, October 16 at 10 AM, followed by a reception at 12 PM at New Life Fellowship. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the New Mexico Boys Ranch. An online guest register is available at
