Obituary for Morris Haviland III

Morris “Jim” James Haviland, III, age 60, a resident of Mountainair, formerly of Clayton, Delaware, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at his home with his family. Jim was born in Laman, Colorado, and raised in Philadelphia, PA. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially riding on his motorcycle. Jim loved spending time working around the yard and playing with his pitbull, Maxx. Jim also enjoyed day trips just enjoying his time with his wife, Kim, and listening to all kinds of music. Jim made it a point to make at least one person smile every day. He proudly served 10 years in the U.S. Army and toured all around the world.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris James Haviland, Jr. and Edna Louise Phillips Haviland.

Jim is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly J. Kitts-Haviland; daughter, Amber Marie and her husband, Don Wilson’ sons, Adam James Haviland, Wade Daniels and Brandon R. Daniels and Harold Avery; stepson, Matthew Rushing; step daughter, Jennifer Rushing; sisters, Susan and her husband, Harry Price and Mary McGeehan; brother, David and Lyuda of Tampa, FL; and very special friends who were considered family, Manuel and Andrea Hidalgo.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 25 at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel beginning with a viewing at 1:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM. Interment will be at the VA Cemetery in Beak, Delaware at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W.
