Obituary for Jose Leon

Jose Leon
Jose Guadalupe Leon, age 67, resided for years in both the Belen and the Meadow Lake area, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2018. He came to the United States in 1974, from Guanajuato, Mexico. Jose spent many years working hard to provide for his family and passed along his work ethic to his children. In 2012 he found solice in his retirement. After retiring, he began to spend a lot of time with new and old friends at the Belen Community Center and at the Iglesias de Beguita.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lucia and Santos Leon; and two brothers and two sisters.

Jose is survived by his wife, Yolanda Lueras Leon; sons, Juan Leon Torres of Mexico, Jose Ramon (Amanda) Leon and Jorge Leon both of Belen; daughters, Lupita Leon Torres of Mexico, Sylvia (Ron) Carvajal of Los Angeles and Vannessa Leon of Chicago; brothers, Reynaldo Leon Hernandez , Julian Leon Hernandez of Mexico, Jose Santana (Genoveva) Hernandez and Ruben (Yolanda) Leon of Los Angeles; sisters, Maria Mercedes Benavidez and San Juana Bustos of Phoenix; he is also survived by his grandchildren: Enrique, Natalia, Andrea, Adelicia of Belen, Naomi and Noah of Los Angeles.

No services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., (505) 864-4448.
