Obituary for Virgil Hoesch Jr.

Virgil Hoesch Jr.
1952-2017
Virgil Dean Hoesch Jr., age 65, a resident of Peralta, NM, passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2018. He was a devoted Christian and a member of the Church of Christ in Bosque Farms, and the American Legion. He was the graduating class of 1970, at Los Lunas High School, following which, he also attended UNM and TCU. He also proudly served in the United States Air Force. Virgil had a unique sense of humor and showed great respect for others. He taught his daughter, then his grandson, how to fish and loved the importance of family. Virgil loved horse racing, traveling, Nascar, bowling, but most of all his grandsons. Every chance he got he took off to Ft. Worth to visit them. Some of his favorite music was Helen Reddy, the Carpenters, Marty Robbins, Merl Haggard, Kenny Rogers and we can’t forget his and Brodee’s song Watch Me (whip/Nae Nae). Virgil is preceded in death by his father, Virgil Hoesch Sr.; Walter J. Zelma Harris; Ernest; Nettie Brandt; Charlene Pepin; Andrew Pepin; and Walter Harris Jr. He is survived by his mother, Sue Hoesch; daughter, Sonia Hoesch; siblings, Hank and Fable Hoesch Mary Ann and Mike Sickenger, Patricia and Brent Boynton; grandsons, Brodee James Nichols and Hudson Dean Hoesch; niece and nephew, Amanda and David Sickenger. Pallbearers will be Dennis Shiplet, Les Foust, Dean Pollf, Dexter Stockstill, Don Duran, John McCathern. Honorary Pallbearers will be Melvin Worrell, Dan Dearmond, Clem Artiaga and George Simmons "Weeds" . All services will be held at Bosque Farms Church of Christ, on Monday, January 22, 2018. A Public Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m., with a Funeral Service to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Los Lunas Chapel, 2211-D Main St., (505) 866-9992.
