Obituary for Tamara Chambers

Tamara Rae Chambers, 42, of Los Lunas, passed away on February 5, 2018. She was given her angel wings this day as a result of a motor vehicle accident which occurred while she was on her way home to visit her family. Tamara is survived by her parents, Donna and Larry Chambers; her sisters, Tabatha Chavez, Keilah Tafoya, and Teddie Chambers; her son Isaiah Chambers; her daughter, Emma Chambers; her brother, Bryan Chavez; and numerous nieces and nephews. Tamara also leaves behind three grandchildren, Corvin, 3; Zarah, 1; and Paisleigh, 8 months.

She is now reunited in heaven with her grandparents, grandmother Peggy "Granny" Poole; grandmother Jimmie-Sue "Nanny" Jackson; grandfather Nolan "Papa" Poole; grandfather Bill Bilbrey; grandfather Olen "Papa" Chambers; and uncle Theodore "Teddy" Chambers.

Tamara was the manager of Back to the Basics in Los Lunas from 2000-2017 and touched many lives during this time. Tamara was a person who would give her last dollar and the shirt off her back to a stranger if she felt they needed it more than she did. Tamara was always eager and willing to help people in any way she could.

Tamara was known as a brave, strong, outgoing, and enthusiastic woman who was always making jokes and having fun. She was the kind of person who could walk into a room full of strangers and make friends with everyone she met. She loved to be with her family and beamed with pride when she talked about her children and grandchildren. The legacy of Tamara's liveliness, selflessness, and courageousness will live on in her children and grandchildren. Tamara would do anything for her family and friends. She was well-known and respected in the community to which she dedicated her life and will be greatly missed.

Funeral arrangements are being handled by Noblin Funeral Services. Her memorial service will be held on Monday, February 12th at Peralta United Methodist Church. Family visitation is at 10:30am with the service beginning at 11am. Donations can be taken to Back to the Basics at 959 Highway 314, Ste A, Los Lunas NM.
