Dale Gibbs
Dale Gene Gibbs, age 80, a resident of Belen, NM, passed away on Thursday, March 1, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Mary Gibbs. Dale was always a true gentleman. He was the oldest of five siblings and is survived by his brothers, David and Sam; and sisters, Deb and Vickie. Dale leaves behind a vast legacy, his children, Michael, Kathy, Sharon, Jerry, Leslie, Kenny, and David. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and not to mention the many students to whom he passed his amazing skills and knowledge of chess. He was always extremely proud of serving our country as a United States Marine, and in 1966 earned the title of the fastest Draw in Kansas. Dale was an avid gun enthusiast. He was a hunter, fisherman, dancer, singer, guitar player, jokester, water skier, the list goes on and on. But most important of all he was a perfect family man, family meant the world to him. He will be deeply missed. Services will be held at Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel on Tuesday, March 6, 2018. A Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Santa Fe National Cemetery on Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at 11:15 a.m. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W.
