Betty Luna (Gutierrez)
Betty B. Luna, age 82, a resident of Bosque Farms, NM, peacefully passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta. Betty was a beautiful and hard working woman with a heart of gold. She and dad shared 64 beautiful years of marriage together. Betty enjoyed crocheting and going to the casino. We always loved when she made her famous green jello and rice pudding. She always enjoyed and loved talking to people, and was always there for all of us giving us great advice. Betty also had a unique sense of humor, always said what she thought, and always said “the truth is the truth”. She loved lighting Saint candles for the people she was praying for. Mom was like a candle to us. She brought warmth, light, and love to everyone and everything she touched. She will be greatly missed and loved by many people. Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Emilio and Trinidad Gutierrez; brothers, Roy and Ralph Gutierrez and wife, Vina; sisters, Mary Simms and husband, Gordon, Lucila Pacheco and husband, Narciso; and brother-in-law, Martin Sanchez; and son-in-law, Antonio Marquez. She is survived by her loving husband, Faustino P. Luna; daughter, Judy Marquez; grandchildren, Marcos Baldonado and Amanda Marquez; daughter, Norma Garcia and husband Jakie; son Ronald Luna and wife, Marie; brother, James Gutierrez; sister, Cecilia Sanchez; sister-in-law, Margaret Gutierrez; brother-in-law, Richard Luna and wife, Mary Lou; sister in-law, Connie Luna. Betty is also survived by many loving grandchildren, nephews, and nieces. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Peralta, on Tuesday, March 13, 2018. A Viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be James Gutierrez, Ricky Luna, Donald Marquez, Ozz Snoddy, Kevin Gutierrez, and Jeremy Gutierrez.
