Ralph Gilbert Ortiz, age 72, a resident of Los Lunas, NM, passed away peacefully at home with his family on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. He was born February 4, 1946, in Santa Fe, NM. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. Following his time in the military, he made a career as a field engineer, but most notably was known to fix and repair absolutely anything. Ralph is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Dulcinea Ortiz; and two unborn twin boys. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Dorella Ortiz; daughters, Sandra Lucero and husband, Aban, Sharon Bryan, and Suzanne McCarty and husband, Johnny; and son, Ralph and wife, Amber, Ralph is also survived by 10 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three brothers, two sisters, and many more family and friends. He was an amazing brother, husband, uncle, grandpa, and dad! He had a nickname for everyone and his smile and sense of humor could light up a room.
Services will be held at Calvary Chapel Rio Grande Valley, in Belen, on Wednesday, May 30, 2018. A Viewing will begin at 10:00 a.m., with a Funeral Service to be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m., on Thursday, May 31, 2018, at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
