Brenda Luna (Garcia)
Brenda Belinda Luna, 46, after a valiant battle against cancer, she returned to her Heavenly home on June 16, 2018; reuniting her with her father, Richard A. Garcia.
She had an admirable devotion to her family and friends. Brenda was also a devout Christian, and it was her extraordinary faith that inspired her to courageously combat cancer.
She was known for her love of dancing and karaoke skills. Everyone knew she would always bring out that infectious laughter like no one else could, and, at any given moment! Family and friends were Brenda’s passion and delight. Hosting gatherings and entertaining always brought Brenda great joy.
She was best known for her holiday gatherings. Brenda’s greatest pride, were her two grandkids, Izaiah and Taylor. But as she would say, her “zzbear” and “turtle baby” and she would be caught dancing or singing with them whenever she got a chance.
Brenda was a wonderful woman with many heart-warming titles. She was “Grandma Brenda” by her loving grandchildren, Izaiah and Taylor. “Bren” by her closest friends, family, and confidants. She was “mom”, “daughter”, and “friend”. Brenda was an incredible person, she is loved, missed, and will always be cherished.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Richard A. Garcia; grandfather, Donciano “Chano” Marquez, grandmother, mildred Marquez, and nephew, Richard “Bubba” Marquez.
She is survived by her mother, Evelyn Garcia; daughter, Ashley Campbell, son in-law Robert Campbell, two grandchildren Izaiah and Taylor Campbell; brother, Randy Garcia, and former husband, Russell Luna, as well as a number of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018 beginning with a visitation at 9:30 followed by the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the Calvary Chapel Church in Albuquerque.
