When Irving lived in New York he was an avid football fan and was a Jets season ticket holder. Whether it was NFL or college football, if it was on TV, Irving was watching it.

Irving retired to Belen, NM and lived there for 30+ years. He loved playing golf and bridge. He enlisted in the Army upon graduating from university, and served in WWII on the beaches of Normandy and in the European campaign. He was much loved and respected by all his friends and neighbours, and by everyone who knew him in any capacity. He will be terribly missed by Hank, Steve, Danny, Steve and Linda, Hoppy, Dennis and Linda, Laurie, Tom, and Kelly and Kati; to name but a few of those whose lives Irving touched.

Photo Album

This is a picture of Irving with his beloved life partner of the last 15 years of his life, Katherine; the person he loved more than anyone else in this world.
This picture was submitted by Katherine's daughter,Patricia. I love and miss you very much Irving. You should be living here in AZ with my mother; not buried in a far away place in NM. And if your wishes had been respected, you would be. Mom will always love and miss you. She will never get over your death. Everyone knows that all you and her wanted was to be together. It is some comfort for her that is was the last thing you said to her before telling her you loved her more than you love anything or anyone in this world.
