Ray Luna ascended into heaven at 1:30 p.m., on Sunday, July 7, 2019. He succumbed to his year and a half long battle with lung cancer. Ray was a strong, courageous, talented, humorous, tender hearted individual whose resilience in life was extraordinary. He was born in San Jose, California, November 14, 1960 and moved to Belen in 1972. Ray was an amazing talented artist who learned his craft at the young age of 13. His passion for painting cars was his pride and joy over his lifetime. Ray was also well known for his amazing paintings on diesel trucks and small aircrafts but it was his incredible unique custom designs that he was best known for. He leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Diane Sanchez; his two darling daughters, Lorraine Lindbloom and Joanna Luna; mother, Sarah Luna; father, Raymond Luna; and his siblings, Mateo Luna, Samuel Luna, Jennifer Reese, Jonathon Rose, Kelly Rose, and Fidel Luna. Ray is also survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and four beautiful grandchildren, Jayden, Lauren, Sophia and Gianna Lindbloom.
