June 15, 1982 – July 16, 2019
Brandi Lee Gregor, age 37, born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 15, 1982, passed away on July 16, 2019 in her Rio Communities home. She was surrounded by her loving family. Brandi fought a long, hard, and brave battle but succumbed to the breast cancer of which she was diagnosed in the summer of 2016. Brandi was fiercely independent and, despite her families’ protestations, spent much of her adult life traveling far from Rio Communities. She lived in Washington state for several years, as well as Philadelphia before making her way home to New Mexico. Brandi made many friends along the way and spoke of them often and visited when time allowed. She started her career at age nineteen, working within the judiciary at the Los Lunas Magistrate Court and the Metropolitan Court in Albuquerque. Brandi spent several years as a retail manager for Old Navy and achieved her associate’s degree in Business Administration, with honors, from the University of New Mexico. During her youth, Brandi played softball, ran track, and was a member of her middle school drill team. She loved to read and had an amazing collection of books. Brandi was a serious Harry Potter fan and in alignment with her bravery, courage, and determination, belonged to the house of Gryffindor. She loved movies and television and could be found watching Friends on many occasions. Brandi was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Norman and Eileen Gregor; maternal grandparents, Richard and Carolyn Henderson; and her fur-baby, Amber. She is survived by her parents, Steven and Patricia Gregor; brother, Shawn Gregor and his wife, Jessica and children Alyziah, Jalen, Evelyn, Aubrey, and Shawn II.; sister, Heather Benavidez and her husband, Joshua Sanchez and daughter, Madeline; and brother, Eric Gregor and his children, Eric, Jr., and Keith. Brandi is also survived by the love of her life, Maddie Grace, aka, Wiggles, her miniature Australian Shepard, and by many more dear uncles, aunts, and cousins, most of whom reside in Maryland. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made, in Brandi’s name, to the Valencia County Animal Shelter. Services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Noblin Funeral Home, Belen, New Mexico. A Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., with a Celebration of life to begin at 11:00 p.m. Arrangements are being handled by the caring professionals at the Noblin Funeral Service Belen Chapel, 418 W. Reinken Ave., (505)864-4448, where an online guest register is available at

I met Brandi in the summer of 2016 and was instantly drawn to her warm personality. She was so kind and I can still remember the sound of her laugh. She was so brave, in the face of uncertain circumstances, and I admire her deeply for that. I hope that her family finds some peace in what I can imagine is the most difficult time of their lives. I am thankful I got to meet and become friends with her as she was a truly amazing human being.

Brandi- I will always remember you for your kindness and loving spirit. I am so blessed to have crossed paths with you in this life. It was a true honor to be your nurse even if it was for a short amount of time. You are very special and I am so thankful we remained in touch and I will always love and miss you dearly. You were a wonderful friend and it saddens me that you are no longer here with us however, I truly believe you are with the Lord and you are a beautiful angel in heaven. I will remain hopeful that I will see you again someday. My condolences to your parents and family during this difficult time. Love you always - Maria M.

Dear Brandi,

How sad it is to hear this news. The World is a bit darker now. I am happy that our paths crossed and I was lucky enough to know you. Looking at your photos, I can hear your laugh and will miss your intelligence and sense of humour. My sincerest condolences during this time of bereavement. Lots of love, Ramona
