Benny Leroy Jaramillo, age 55, a resident of Socorro, NM, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019. He loved going to the river to fish and cruise the channel. Leroy was a big fan of the Chicago Bears. He loved spending time with his daughter Esperanza and granddaughters Estrella and Leelah. Leroy and his brothers were known as the four horsemen, he was the third. Leroy was self-employed for the last 8 years in Socorro working as a part time landscaper. He loved to be outside in any weather. Leroy went to CNM to be an electrician but instead found that he loved cooking and worked at NM Tech cafeteria as a cook. Leroy could make a meal out of practically nothing. He liked going to the casino, spending little money and winning plenty most of the time. Leroy loved coming home to his fiancée Victoria and watching his favorite True TV crime shows, Leroy was always in charge of the remote. The one thing him and his fiancée shared was the love of reading. They had a wonderful sense of humor together and loved scary movies, music, and cruising the back roads. He loved listening to old school rock n roll music. His all-time favorite was Pink Floyd. Leroy loved to go dancing whenever he was able to. He is preceded in death by his father, Benny T. Jaramillo; and son, Leroy B. Jaramillo Jr. Leroy is survived by his fiancée, Victoria M. Marquez; daughters, Esperanza, Desirae, Antoinette and Michelle Jaramillo; step-sons, Cody Marquez, Juan, Christopher, and Nicholas Patterson; ex-wife, Virginia M. Jaramillo; mother, Mary Ann and husband, Jose Ruiz; brothers, Tomas, Nicolas, Jeremy and wife, Kathy, and Jose “Hossey” Ruiz and wife, Roxanne Romero; sisters, Eileen Jaramillo and spouse, Johnnie Castillo, Antoinette McGuiness, and Simona Lopez; grandchildren, Benito, Desirae, Estrella, and Leelah, Antonio, and Janessa, Gabriella, and Leroy Jr. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews he was very fond of.
