Colleen DeTommaso, age 67, a resident of Belen, passed away on Tuesday, February 4th, 2020. Colleen DeTommaso was the most amazing wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister & friend anyone could ask for. She had battled cancer for 4 years and passed away peacefully with family by her side. Her laugh was one of the most contagious qualities about her. She was a devout Christian who loved spending time with her family. She graduated from Herington High School in 1970. She had a passion for teaching and received her Master’s Degree in Special Education. This achievement was a very proud moment for her family. She loved bands like Aerosmith & Fleetwood Mac. The KC Chiefs were her favorite team, and she got to see them win the Superbowl! Colleen loved painting, fishing, traveling, reading & doing crossword puzzles with her husband. She will be so extremely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing her.
