Our Beloved David Lee Kirk age 78, of Los Lunas, New Mexico was called by Our Heavenly Father and passed away on Mother's Day May 10, 2020, at 11:17 p.m. The official record of death is May 11, 2020, at 12:29 a.m. by his nurse. He was surrounded by family at the time of his death. He was born to parents Leo H. Kirk and Gladys G. Kirk on July 8, 1941, in Oskaloosa, Iowa. David was the youngest of four children, brothers, Charles Kirk, Clayton Kirk and wife Peggy, and Donald Kirk all who preceded him in death. Human life is a collection of stories and memories. David retired as a fabrication machinist. He enlisted for a short time in the US Navy and was Honorably Discharged. He was a Master Ham Radio Operator who loved participating in all operations and activities on the main net. His call sign was KNOLMO. David was an accomplished Foster Parent for over 30 years and loved working with children and giving them hope and a chance at a good life. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He also enjoyed playing APA pool. He helped his team win 3 APA Divisional Championships in the APA Pool League. His passions were playing golf, playing his Pimentel guitar, going to Air Shows with family, watching Classic movies, going for long drives, and weekend BBQs. He married Cecilia the love of his life in 1969. David survived by his wife, Cecilia; son's and daughter's, Christy and husband, Taso Boosalis, Leo Kirk, Lori and husband, Bob McGlothlen, David Kirk, Rose Ann Garcia, Beverly and husband, Angelo Soto, Gladys, and husband, Victor Vigil, Micha Kirk, Jessica and husband Avery Farris, Ernest Kirk; sister-in-laws Flora Lobley, and Mike Kirk as well as a host of 26 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren; many nieces and nephews in (New Mexico, California, Iowa, Missouri). The family would like to thank Yunivia Arismendez of Heritage Home Healthcare for her outstanding care for David Lee Kirk. We shall miss him and honor him in our memory every day. David was always there to help you unconditionally. He loved everyone in his life. God most definitely Blessed him with an enormous family and friends.
