Martin R. Martinez, age of 41, went to be with his Lord peacefully on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at Lovelace Medical Center Downtown. He was preceded in death by his father Jerry Martinez; grandfather, Raymundo Martinez; infant brother, James; and infant nephew, Devon. Martin is survived by his son Isaac; mother, Bobbie Sue Martinez; brothers, Jerome and wife Savannah, and Patrick; nephews, James, Anthony, Andrew; niece, Rebecca; and grandmothers, Aurora Martinez and Susie McClellan. He is also survived by many family and friends. As a child Martin was always outdoors on his bike or playing sports. His Little League team were the District Champions and State Runner-Ups. Martin continued baseball in high school as a pitcher for the Belen Eagles. He graduated in the year of 1998. After high school Martin worked for Chavez and Chavez as a cement finisher. Martin obtained his CDL license and was employed with Middle Rio Grande Conservancy. His present employment was with Duke City RediMix. Martin loved the outdoors. He enjoyed camping, fishing, and hunting with his family and friends. Martin also liked to host BBQs and get togethers at his house. He loved to spend time with his family and friends. His family and close friends knew that they could always count on him for anything. A very grateful thank you to Debra Gallegos. All services will be held at Our Lady of Belen Catholic Church, on Monday, October 26, 2020. A Viewing will begin at 8:30 a.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 9:30 a.m., and a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Belen Memorial Gardens.
